Nearly five years into my own menopause journey, frustrated by the lack of appropriate mental health resources available and hearing more and more stories of women, including some of my friends, being put on anti-depressants or experiencing suicidal thoughts, I decided to take action and create Menopause-ology.
I have been working in mental health sector for over 25 years, both in the U.K. and internationally. I have been a yoga practitioner for 20 years.
My goal is to help women feel their best. My work is to help guide and support you during this transition, while empowering you to reconnect back to yourself. We will build adaptive coping skills to enable you to thrive in your day-to-day midlife and beyond.
Every woman will go through menopause – that’s an estimated 1.3 million women who enter menopause every year - but many of us feel ignored, or are simply ‘putting up’ and struggling during this transition.
You’re not alone. The reality is that the menopause is so much more than just a bunch of physical symptoms - it can have a massive impact on our mental health. I know this from my own experience and that of my clients.
The menopause journey can seriously impact our lives. But with support, simple tools and guided information all women can thrive through and beyond this transition.
